Atlantis' Yarn

 About Atlantis

"Macho Man" is the best way to describe Atlantis.  For years Atlantis stayed by himself in a pasture (with companions on all sides), because he would beat up the other boys (Atlantis believes the girls all belong to him).  Once our herd of boys started to grow, we realized Atlantis could not beat up everyone, so we put him in with the other
boys.  Interestingly, Atlantis rarely fights with the other boys.  Maybe he was all bark and no bite!
Atlantis truly is a magnificent animal.  He is big, tall and fit.  He has a wonderfully soft, super dense fleece.   He has huge bones on his legs that remind you of tree trunks.  Most importantly for us, he produces wonderful offspring.  Some of his "crias" are Bamako, Zurich, Kodiak, Vienna, Nubia and his latest is Lubiana.   We always assumed Atlantis could not produce color, but after a number of years, we decided to give him a try.  Much to our surprise, he produced exceptional colored offspring, including true black and various shades of brown.

While Atlantis doesn't care to be petted, he doesn't mind humans at all (and of course, loves alpaca girls).  He is easy to handle and is pretty easy going.

Check back every now and then for updates on Atlantis.
