About Jasmine
Jasmine and our son, Ben have a very special relationship. When both were young, Ben worked with Jasmine and showed her in a number of alpaca shows. Not a day goes by without Ben running out to the pasture to give Jasmine a kiss. She always responds in kind.
Jasmine doesn't have a worry in the world. She never gets too worked up about anything. But, she does love to eat. We really have to keep an eye on her, as she gets fat really easy.
If you talk to Ben about Jasmine, he will tell you that without question, she is the most beautiful alpaca in the world. He might have something there. If you look closely, you can see Jasmine has a beauty mark beneath her left eye.
Jasmine is a pretty alpaca and she has simply awesome fiber - and lots of it. She also has gorgeous crias (babies). Her first one was a light fawn girl named Odessa, then came Andorra, a white girl and Dakota, a white boy who the kids nicknamed, "Bubby."
A few years ago, a friend came to visit. We took him out to the barn to meet our alpacas. Ben ran up to Jasmine and hugged and kissed her. She kissed him and nuzzled his face. Ben ran off and our friend decided to do the same thing. He got real close to Jasmine, expecting the same treatment. Jasmine stood up, gave an indignant huff, and walked off. After all, her special attention is reserved for Ben and Ben alone!!
